Sorry it's been awhile since I've last posted. Haven't had anything worth posting about really. If you're into hiphop at all you gotta check out C.L. Ryderz. A friend of mine that hosts a Christian hip hop show sent me some of their stuff. If you're into west coast heat at all it's worth a listen! God Bless you all!

I stand...
I stand at work watching those around me hoping to possibly tap into their story. Some are short, fat, skinny, old, young, and dead? Some smile as they pass while others act as though you didn't exist. Some smell really cheerful while others smell of smoke and booz usually followed with the frown. Enjoying life and all the fun things to be had, touched, and smelled you find most little ones. Adults go through the motions, tired and down. Where did we get lost? Where did we go from a world of imagination and exploration to a world of loneliness and sadness? A world where alcohol is sought after so heavily to relieve the agony you feel deep within you. The smiles you had have faded into a permanent frown and the most exploring you do is between work and your home. It's hard to live in a world where love is smothered by hate, guilt, and sadness. In a world that has seemed to have forgotten about the number one sacrifice and the ultimate love story. An innocent man convicted and sentenced to be crucified on the cross. John 15:13- Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

Luck or Work?
"Life consists not in holding good cards, but in playing those you hold well."-Linz
Linz illustrates a great point. Often times I find myself getting down and sad because of certain situations. Situations that occur beyond my power to stop them. Instead of looking at them optimistically I'm immediately defeated. Poker isn't all just luck. You have to know how to play your bad cards with your good ones, understand the odds and know what cards have been played etc. Same with life. You get dealt bad cards and unless you strategically use them for the ultimate good they will stack up and become a huge obstacle.

Interesting perspective
While I've been sick I've been able to catch up on a few of my magazines I haven't had time to read. If you are a baseball fan at all I'm sure you know about the new Steroid rules put into effect this year. Did you know that more than 50% of the major and minor leaguers suspended were born in Latin American Countries? Here are a few examples of how little some know about our culture, language etc. Luis Castillo accidentally set of a hotel fire alarm because he thought it was a shampoo dispenser. Euclides Rojas (played in the minor leagues) arrived from Cuba he thought about buying dog food for his son to eat due to the picture of a boy on the can. Never did he think about American's buying special food for their dogs. The interesting point to this article is the fact that the Latin Americans being charged with Steroid use may not understand what they are doing. Vladimir Guerrero has as 5th grade education! I would imagine he probably couldn't afford, or his parents couldn't afford to send him any further than 5th grade. So basically he's trying to live the "American Dream" play ball and help his family out. Do you think he knows what Glutamine is? Haha right. So yeah, interesting article! If you want to check it out it's in the May 23rd issue of ESPN Magazine page 14.
Funny sports highlights:
Funny sports highlights:

- Twins shortstop Jason Bartlett hurts pinky adjusting hotel TV.
- 47,000 Yankee caps stolen.(that's too bad...pfft)

Storms...
I don't know how many times I've heard people tell me how much they are hating the weather lately but honestly I LOVE IT! I got to hang out with a friend today that I haven't been able to see much of. Unfortunately both him AND his bro. are leaving for the summer on Saturday. But yeah...we sat on the porch during the storm...it was amazing. Thanks God!

My gosh!!!
Why can't I get on a good softball team? I'm not saying I'm great or anything but I'm kind of tired of losing every single game. When you don't bat because you are already down by like 16 points and the game is called that's pretty rediculously bad. I know I know it's for the fellowship. Blah blah blah lol. How about we have good fellowship while winning? HAHA...If anyone knows of a team I can get on where winning is a possibility let me know PLEASE!!!!

The Big Bang?
In Astonomy we just went of the Big Bang theory. There are a few things I don't understand. For it to be a theory means it isn't nec. true. Yet they teach it as truth? Something else, for everything they can't explain they make up something so that they can "connect the dots". For example. In galaxies stars orbit around a central point. In our galaxy, the milky way, we everything orbits around the sun. Part of the problem is, the fact that the stars and our earth for that matter don't just fly off into space. True, there is gravity but not enough. This is the case for everything out in space and for every galaxy. So scientists have labeled the un-seeable force as "dark matter" *twilight music in the background* So now, scientists use that (dark matter) as the force that keeps all the stars in orbit etc....does that not sound a little weird and more like a made up name and concept? Something else that is weird...the inner planets orbit at the same speed as the ones on the outer spectrum. Normal physics would tell you that the inner ones would spin faster....hmmm...

Dear God,
...I sit there watching and listening, wondering where all this fear comes from. Jokes expressed, laughter follows, all is heard never do I express. My heart is writing volumes yet my mouth won't open. Why can't I just be free and be me? Why does there have to be fear that only I can see? When will it end? How do I fight it?
Love,
Riggs
