The life of "Riggs"

Is it possible to have great days most days. To live to the fullest everyday and be satisfied when you fall asleep. MTV is a horrible thing to base life off of but lately I've been watching Rob and Big. Granted they are rich beyond belief....they have FUN! It drives me nuts to even be sitting here writing a blog on a Saturday night. I feel like all I do is school, sit at home watch tv, play games, surf the web, work on the weekend, go out the bars every once in a great while etc...am I missing something? Did I miss the life memo somewhere? I hate hearing, "so what have you been up to?" IT'S ALWAYS THE SAME FREAKING ANSWER! School/work. Same crap new day. Someday I'm going to graduate, work and not have free Saturdays and realize I wasted my life and I still have no idea how to turn it around!

  • What do you mean "graduate, work and not have free Saturdays"? I graduated, am working, and have perfectly free Saturdays. And yours will be even freeer (Freeeeeeeeeeeeeeedom.... sorry, had to do that after (mis)spelling that last word...) because you don't have to go to the archery range. So stop feeling like life is passing you by. You're living a perfectly normal life. The idea that people are always going to parties and hanging out with people and stuff is a myth.

    (Sorry about the lecture) ;)

  • So umm...not to give you an overdose of Weaver or anything, but that seems to be rather similar to the way things work over here a third of the way around the world. Now drinking happens to be built into society a little more than the US, so the bars thing happens at least twice a week for most students...but other than that school - check, tv - check, games - check, web - check, work - high un-employment here so no work for students, bars - triple check (like I said culture). I have the feeling that you aren't the only one who feels that way either.

  • i think everyone has those moments when they question life.

i certainly know how it feels when every day blurs with the next and life feels incredibly repedative. i'm willing to bet you and i aren't the only ones who have felt that way either.

there is no rule that says you have to go out on a saturday night...i actually loved it when my roommates would leave and i could take a bubble bath.

as far as TV goes...you definitely got it right that it's a horrible thing to base life off of. think how much different your life would be if you edited several days of your life into a 20 minute show...only the exciting parts, right?
